Bodie Milky Way Workshop

August 18-20, 2023

Join us for a star-lit Milky Way and star trails weekend starting in the ghost town of Bodie, California! This is a unique opportunity we have secured to shoot in and around the Ghost Town throughout the night. The second night of our adventure will continue at Mono Lake shooting the tufas as our subjects and the night sky as our background. Come learn how to shoot the night sky Milky Way, Star Trails, Points of Light and how to make a star trail video! Even if you already know how to shoot the night sky, you won’t want to pass up this opportunity to gain access to such a wonderful place!

Adventure Detail

• During the Day: Scouting, post processing and maybe sleeping and at night: Star Trails and Milky Way!
• Includes: Location for photographing, “How-To Prep Class” and onsite instruction.
• Does Not Include: Transportation, meals, accommodations, possible entrance fees and model gratuity.
• To Bring: Camera, camera manual, tripod, camping gear, lockable remote shutter release – full supply list to be e-mailed after registration.

Sunday 8/20 – Return home

We must be out of Bodie by 1am after shooting.

**Required** Knowledge of how to use your camera in manual and bulb model, how to manually change white balance, shutter and aperture.
