It’s easy to think of traveling across the globe to photograph, but some of the most exciting places to photograph are in our own backyard. Come explore local festivities, unexplored venues and captivating scenes. Get out and create with a great group of photographers. This is not just a chance to take advantage of the beauty and character of Southern California; it’s a chance to form friendships and expand your photographic perspective.

Union Station

Wednesday January 24th, meet at 7pm      Â
Enjoy the hub of LA. Chinatown dressed for Lunar New Year and the bustle of Union Station makes for fantastic subjects!
Palos Verdes Nights
Saturday, February 24th, meet at 6pm      Â
Capture the setting sun against a beautiful foreground. We’ll blur the surf and make a fantastic fun photograph.
LA Arts District
Saturday, March 2nd, meet at 5pm      Â
Architecture , street murals, funky shops makes for a great photo location. We’ll end with up sunset from the 4th Street Bridge with views of Downtown LA
Madrona Marsh
Sunday, March 24th, meet at 8am      Â
Spring is coming to our local nature center. Capture the flora and fauna. Capture poppies, butterflies and egrets in the marsh!
LA Architecture
Saturday, April 13th, meet at 8am      Â
Walk downtown LA capturing historic buildings, steel and glass skyscrapers plus the whimsy of an amazing architect. A great downtown LA Adventure!
Thunder Thursday Long Beach Grand Prix
Thursday, April 18th, meet at 6pm      Â
Thursday evening’s race warm-up includes a stunning trick riding display. Get on site and make amazing photos as motorcycles jump, spin, and fly!
South Coast Botanical Garden

Capture the glory of Spring at our local garden. Get up close with flowers and insects and make stunning photos!
Griffith Observatory

Saturday, May 18th, meet at 7pm  Â
Sunset and lights from the observatory and people on Hollywood Blvd.
Why Ride the Bus?   Â
Why ride the bus? It is our rolling classroom! We will go over what to expect on the Walkabout and offer tips on ride. Save time, gas and parking hassles. While driving yourself is an option, you may miss shooting time and become separated from the group. It’s great to be shooting with a group of creative artists and enjoy the camaraderie of the group.
