Adobe Lightroom Classic is a digital program that gives you everything you need for importing, sorting, organizing, editing, printing, and sharing your digital photographs.
This twelve-session, online workshop is based on the current version of Lightroom Classic that will empower you to take your pictures to the next level and beyond.
We will use WeTransfer to send you photos prior to the class, so that we will be working on the same photos together as a group.
Please make sure you have the current version of Adobe Lightroom Classic installed on your computer/laptop before the class starts.
Session 1 & 2
In the first two 90 minute online sessions, learn how to import photos from memory cards/SD cards into the Lightroom Classic catalog. Explore how to add photos that are already stored on your computer’s hard drive. Prior to the first online class session, the instructor will send to each student raw images that will be used in class to learn importing, organizing and developing.
Session 3 & 4
This session takes us to the Lightroom Library module where you will sort and rate photos, create collections of the best photos, add keywords, captions and other information (Metadata) to our photos.
Session 5 & 6
Once you have created a collection or two of your favorite photos, you’ll discover how to effectively use the Develop module and learn how to use Lightroom’s Camera Raw editing tools to make our photos gorgeous!
Learn how to batch process, (edit one photo and then apply those edits automatically to all the similar photos in the collection with the push of a button). Find out how to make different versions of a photo from the same original file without ever changing that original file.
Topics covered- Techniques for exposure, sharpening, noise reduction, local adjustments and touch-ups, dehazing the sky, black & white conversion, and more!
Session 7 & 8
We will continue to explore and practice editing techniques in the Develop module and learn how to export jpgs and other file formats for sharing with family, friends and social media, as well as for sending to the lab for printing.
Session 9 & 10
After learning the editing techniques, you’ll get have the opportunity to share some of your own photos and receive constructive feedback from the class and the instructor on different ways to improve the image using Lightroom Classic’s Develop tools.
Session 11 & 12
