About Your Adventure

Join night sky expert, Katrina Brown, on this night-time Adventure which will teach you how you can capture mesmerizing astral images! Learn how to photograph stars moving in the sky or change a scene by creatively adding light or even build drama by integrating star trails and light painting. Katrina’s creativity and proven methods make it easy for you to get stunning images!

There will be a pre-trip class to learn your settings and familiarize you with the experience. In Joshua Tree, we’ll go to work at dusk and shoot until the wee hours of the morning. Sleep time will be mid-day. Post processing will be done when we return. We’ll also shoot with a model throughout the weekend.

• After Dark: Capture Joshua Tree skies and surrounds at night!
• During the Day: Scouting, post processing, and rest!
• Includes:
  1. How-To Prep Class (May 31st, 7PM)
  2. Location photography in Joshua Tree with onsite assistance.
  3.Post-production follow up class. (June 9th, 7PM)
• Recommended Accommodations: Fairfield Inn at 29 Palms 760-361-5000. You are free to camp or to make other accommodations.
• Does Not include: Transportation, meals, accommodations, entrance fees, and model gratuity

Required

Knowledge of how to use your camera in manual and bulb model, how to set-up camera, focus, change white balance, shutter, and aperture in the dark. Full supply list and instructions e-mailed after registration.
