Environmental portraits and eyes are windows to the soul. Learn all about portraits for travel and documentary photo essays. Mark will also cover natural and artificial lighting tips and techniques.
WEEK III
Monday April 19, 2021
Mark Edward Harris will take you through a look back at some of the greatest travel and documentary photo essays in photographic history. He will also take you through a look forward with a discussion on developing ideas for personal photo essays.

Among his numerous accolades are CLIO, ACE, Aurora Gold, and IPA awards. His books include Faces of the Twentieth Century: Master Photographers and Their Work, The Way of the Japanese Bath, Wanderlust, North Korea, South Korea, Inside Iran and The Travel Photo Essay: Describing A Journey Through Images. The People of the Forest, a book about orangutans, is due out in the fall of 2021.
